Boarding School life at ICC

Our days are spiced with activities geared towards making our students who came into the College as boys to take their roles as men. This they can do if they seek for grace from God through prayers, examination of themselves to know themselves and by dint of hard work. The College daily schedule to achieve this include the following:

The Magisterium of the Catholic Church upholds and teaches that prayer is the the lifting of one’s mind and heart to God.  The same Magisterium goes on to teach that prayer is the petitioning of good things from God the Creator in accord with His sublime will.  Consequent upon this, we place the highest premium on our prayer life knowing that in God we live and move and have our entire existence and College activities centered for progress and accomplishment.  Therefore, our day begins with our Morning Prayers and we cap it with the Sacrifice of the Holy Mass.  In the evening, we turn to our Patroness in praying the Holy Rosary asking for her loving intercession.  At night we turn to God in a short night prayer asking God to accept our thanksgiving, accept our efforts for the day, bless them and keep us safe while we sleep.  Thrice a day, we punctuate our activities with the prayer called the “Angelus or Regina Caeli” in loving remembrance of the mystery of the Incarnation, God taking flesh to live among us and the joys of the power of the Resurrection of Christ.
Man must know himself to be able to meaningfully progress in the right direction.  Therefore, in our College we embrace Retreat as a form of prayer to create the serene moment and atmosphere for our students to examine themselves so as to understand their past and efforts and to think through moving forward for holistic outstanding performances.  Retreats are done at the end of every term for a period of three days.
Games and Sports are major part of our school curriculum because if students stay emotionally and physically healthy, they can easily focus on their studies. Students have to participate in school sports to increase confidence, mental alertness, and self-esteem. Sports are important in schools because it helps to teach various skills to students like leadership, patience, patience, team efforts, and social skills. Here we are discussing some benefits of the importance of sports in Schools. Read more..
