Admission into ICC is open to all pupils who have successfully completed their first 5 or 6 years of Primary School Education. Admission into the College is open to both Nigerians and foreigners with legal permission to reside in the country. Admission is open to all students irrespective of creed or race. Nevertheless, Immaculate Conception College remains a Catholic Mission School for boys only.
Entry is through a competitive Entrance Examination and Interview. Entrance Examination into the College is conducted between March and June for admission into the College year which begins in September. The College year ends in July.
Our Common Entrance Examination is eligible to pupils in their final grade of primary school (Primary 6) who are between 10–14 years old. However, a child has to sit for the Common Entrance Examination and also attend the Oral Interview, to be admitted into the College. The Common Entrance seeks to select the best candidates from every part of the country into the College. There are usually so many applicants and the competition is rigorous. The exam is out of 200 marks. When the results are released, the subjects are grouped into two segments. These are our qualifications for Oral Interview:
Mathematics: 50% & above and English:50% & above.
