College Curriculum
Immaculate Conception College, Benin City is one of the special Catholic mission Colleges established by the Catholic Archdiocese of Benin City to assist
in the training of young Nigerians to raise the critically needed
manpower of the country in the area of Science, Social & Management Sciences and Technology.
It is a two School-in-one College in the sense that it offers courses at the
level of Basic Education (Junior Secondary School) and Senior Secondary Education.
Each School
spans over a minimum period of three years leading to the award of the
following certificates in the Section below:
SENIOR SCHOOL CERTICATES (WASSCEWAEC & NSSCE-NECO) For Senior School
West African Senior Secondary Certificate and NECO:These are awarded to all the students in SS3 . The are usually presented to the two exam Body in Nigeria (WAEC & NECO) for the above certificates.

Only one subject can be selected from a given group.BASIC EDUCATION CERTIFICATE (BECE) For Junior School
This is awarded to Basic School graduates after the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) by the National Examination Council of Nigeria (NECO). This can be used to secure admission into the Senior Secondary if the child is aspiring to study Arts and other related courses in the future in which case he/she would have to secure admission into a conventional Secondary School, All other students aspiring to study Technical/Science courses are retained and streamed into the various areas of intended future discipline/profession by the College.
